This zone was the physical border during the First Indochina War with France and became the gruesome battleground during Vietnam War. The DMZ is located at the 17th Parallel, in Quang Tri province, 93 kilometers from the Imperial City of Hue.
Danang to DMZ is 200 kilometers which takes 4.5 hour drive with a private car. - Lang Co Beach – A beautiful white beach at the end of Hai Van Pass. Lang Co is a town in the middle of two bodies of water, the Lang Co Beach and Lap An Lagoon.
- Lap An Lagoon – Well-known for its fresh oyster farms and stunning view, Lap An Lagoon is a great stop for refreshments.
- Hien Luong Bridge – It is a physical divider between North and South Vietnam at the Demilitarized Zone during the war. But now serves as a relic for the reunification of the country.
- Vinh Moc Tunnels – A tunnel complex within the DMZ that sheltered hundreds of villagers while the area was being heavily bombed during the war.
