This 4-day trip (Danang 4 days 3 nights itinerary) showcases the World cultural heritage sites of Hue Imperial City, Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary, along with a relaxing visit to Ba Na Hills and other beautiful attractions: the Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda, and Han Market.
DAY 1 – Danang 4 days 3 nights itinerary: DA NANG – HUE 8:00 am: Our car and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Da Nang or at Da Nang airport and transfer you to Hue City (about 102 km north of Da Nang). On the way from Da Nang to Hue, we will stop to visit some stunning attractions such as:
- Hai Van Pass – One of Vietnam’s most iconic mountain passes, described as “a deserted ribbon of perfection” by the UK show Top Gear in 2008.
- Lang Co Bay – A picturesque spot featuring a long white-sand beach with blue seawater, located near 4 of Vietnam’s World Heritage Sites (Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary, Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, and the ancient citadel of Hue).
- Lap An Lagoon – An 800-hectare brackish water lagoon in Hue, known for its scenic beauty with white clouds floating over the Bach Ma mountain ranges against a blue sky backdrop.
11:30 am: Arrive in Hue. Continue to visit one of the most beautiful royal tombs – Khai Dinh Tomb, the resting place of Khai Dinh (1885-1925), the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty, noted for its majestic beauty. 12:30 pm: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant with the best Hue dishes and take a short rest. Resume the trip to visit:
- Hue Citadel: Built under the reign of King Gia Long in 1804, featuring nearly 140 structures. The Citadel was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1993.
- Thien Mu Pagoda: One of the holiest and oldest sites in this former imperial capital, famous for its historical architecture and beautiful natural setting. (Please wear clothes that cover your knees when visiting this pagoda.)
4:00 pm: Enjoy a dragon boat ride along the Perfume River to take in the peaceful scenery of the city. Then, the car will drop you off at your hotel in Hue. Enjoy free time and overnight in Hue City.
DAY 2 – Danang 4 days 3 nights itinerary: HUE – HOI AN
8:00 am: After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel in Hue and transfer you to Hoi An. After a 3-hour drive, explore My Son Sanctuary – a cluster of ruined Hindu temples built between the 4th and 13th centuries by the kings of Champa to worship the god Shiva.
My Son Sanctuary is situated in a beautiful valley surrounded by a ring of high mountains and is considered one of the foremost Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia. Have lunch and take a short rest before transferring to Hoi An Old Town.
Hoi An Old Town was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in December 1999. The town features a series of old-architectured lanes and houses that reflect a fusion of indigenous and foreign cultures. The old buildings, moss-covered walls, and antique furniture create a unique atmosphere.
Discovering Hoi An Old Town, visit Hoi An Market, the Japanese covered bridge, Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, handicraft shops, and art galleries. After exploring Hoi An Old Town, the car will drop you off at your hotel. Enjoy free time and overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 3 – Danang 4 days 3 nights itinerary: HOI AN – DA NANG
8:00 am: After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel in Hoi An and depart for Ba Na Hills.
Ba Na Hills is part of the Sun World Entertainment brand and is located over 20 km from the center of Da Nang City. Situated at an altitude of 1,487 meters above sea level, Ba Na Hills is called the “fairy land” with its excellent climate and stunning natural landscapes. It is a top-level complex for tourism, relaxation, and entertainment in Vietnam.
Visit Ba Na Hills to experience the climate of four seasons in one day and many attractions (Golden Bridge, Debay Wine Cellar, Le Jardin d’Amour Flower Garden, French Village,…), along with various entertainment and culinary activities. In the afternoon, continue to explore the Marble Mountains.
The Marble Mountains in Da Nang consist of five hills made from limestone and marble, each named after the five elements (metal, wood, water, fire, and earth). Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Da Nang city and Non Nuoc Beach from here.
You can also visit the Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village with nearly two hundred years of history at the foot of Marble Mountain. After visiting the Marble Mountains, we will drop you off at your hotel in Da Nang City. Enjoy free time and overnight in Da Nang.
DAY 4: DA NANG
8:00 am: Our car and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Da Nang after breakfast. Discover Han Market – the central market in Da Nang. This market is the most important trading point in Da Nang City, located in the heart of the city near the Han River Bridge. It offers 28,000 square meters of hundreds of stalls selling an array of local produce, handicrafts, T-shirts, shoes, and accessories. Han Market provides a fascinating glimpse into local life in Da Nang.
9:30 am: Visit Linh Ung Pagoda – a sacred pagoda in Da Nang. This important religious site is built in a contemporary style combined with traditional Vietnamese pagoda architecture. Notable attractions include the Lady Buddha statue (67 meters high, equivalent to a 30-story building), 18 stone Arhat statues, and a set of sculptural reliefs depicting the life of Shakyamuni. After visiting Linh Ung Pagoda, have lunch at a local restaurant. Then, we will drop you off at your hotel in Da Nang or at Da Nang airport. Say goodbye and end the tour.
